He is one of the finest, knowledgeable yet extremely humble, and amongst the multi-faceted musicians with various caps both in industry and academia. He is one of the very few who have learnt to excel at straddling between working in the weeds of things, as well as teaching. He makes music everyday, he teaches everyday and is constantly seeking to learn more. ‘The more I learn, the more I realise that the less I know’ he very modestly says.  Divakar Subramaniam  is also the founder and director of the highly prestigious School of Indian Film Music . The institution is shifting paradigms in how popular or film music is taught, produced and presented.
